Every image, live from Bluesky - nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters captured from a front yard on Cape Cod
This gallery collects Walt Watson's deep-sky astrophotography, all imaged from his front yard on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The subjects are the classic targets of the northern sky: emission and reflection nebulae, planetary nebulae and supernova remnants, spiral and elliptical galaxies, globular and open star clusters, dark nebulae, and the molecular clouds of the Milky Way. Most images are captured with cooled ZWO astronomy cameras through SVBony refractors on harmonic-drive mounts, in narrowband (Ha, OIII, SII) or broadband RGB depending on the target and the moon. Images are grouped by month, newest first, and each opens at full size with Walt's own notes on the object, exposure time, and processing.
